As a senior employment lawyer, Jo successfully leads our employment law services in Cambridge and specialises in all aspects of employment law.

Jo qualified as a solicitor in September 2001 and is a leading lawyer in the employment field in Cambridge.  Jo excels at building strong client relationships and has significantly contributed to the growth of our Cambridge team’s client-base as a result.

Jo has been recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for several years now and has been described in the Legal 500 2018 rankings as “very approachable and knowledgeable in her subject” who is highly recommended for “her clarity of advice and reliable service.” Clients like the fact that Jo is so personal, commercial yet provides unrivalled client care.

Jo acts for national and local companies and organisations both in and around Cambridge as well as wider afield.  Jo carries out work for clients in a variety of sectors including media and technology, and she is a key member of Greenwoods GRM’s Education sector team.  She has extensive experience providing employment advice to clients in the education sector, including independent schools and over a third of the Cambridge Colleges.

As well as working on contentious matters, Jo enjoys getting her teeth into complicated non-contentious matters, such as large-scale business reorganisations, change programmes and redundancy situations.

Jo is also a confident litigator and has considerable experience defending a wide variety of complex Tribunal claims and continues to impress with her advocacy and mediation skills.

Jo and the team provide bespoke training to various organisations and deliver a number of popular training events which includes ‘Big Issues’.
