Greenwoods GRM LLP Charity Challenge Success!

news / 04 September 2018

A group of brave Greenwoods GRM LLP employees have successfully completed our ‘Thames Path
Charity Challenge’.

On Saturday, 18 August, 12 of the Greenwoods GRM staff started at the Magna Carta Monument and
walked 33 miles across London, with a further 6 walking between 8 and 27 miles – finishing in an
impressive 12 hours 42 minutes.

Employees from all three Greenwoods GRM offices in Peterborough, Cambridge and London were
represented in the challenge.

There were many blisters, aches and pains throughout the journey, but the team powered through to
make it to its destination, our London office at 1 Bedford Row.
The challenge saw funds in excess of £2,000 raised for our chosen charities of the year; Three Counties
Dog Rescue and CPSL Mind.

CPSL Mind, a county-wide mental health charity, said: “We really appreciate your efforts Team
Greenwoods GRM. A great achievement! Today one in four of us at any one time during the year will
have a diagnosable mental health condition and last year we provided 23,900 hours of 1-2-1 support.
This donation will help us to continue to provide our much-needed services to local people recovering
from mental health challenges. An enormous thank you to everyone who was involved.”
Three Counties Dog Rescue, a Lincolnshire and Surrounding Counties based rescue centre, said: “Your
fundraising will make a real difference to the work we do, caring for and rehoming dogs across
Lincolnshire. Thank you so much.”

Greenwoods GRM will continue to fundraise for both charities until December 2018, when the final
total raised across the whole year will be announced.

Stephanie Wilcox, Senior Solicitor in the Employment team and Head of the Greenwoods GRM charity
committee and said: “A huge congratulations to everyone who took part. It was a massive achievement
and the money we have raised makes all the pain worth it!”
